Stop for Pictures
And how to paint in the dark
Speaking of creating, I am hard at work on my graphic novel, West, Not South, which I announced in my last newsletter (check it out if you haven’t already!). My process is pretty ridiculous and likely inefficient but it’s getting the job done and I’m really liking how my pages are turning out. Here are some process shots.
In a future post I will go into detail on how I'm processing each page for this book, from thumbnails to final print page. It'll be a doozy.
I'll be tabling at C.A.S.A. in San Antonio this Saturday 3/25, so come hangout if you're in the area! It's my first show of the year and I’m very happy that it will be comic book focused. I’ll be doing a handful of shows this year, including Heroes Con in NC, which is by all accounts, THE comic con of the year. I'm stoked for it.
Until next time, be good and read some comics. Or books. Or watch something other than pointless tik tok videos about people summarizing their day. The matrix will appreciate it.
Thanks for your time,
Nico
