I do import into Illustrator for other projects, but for this project specifically I'm keeping everything in Procreate. So after I complete the colors I create a new layer to make the hand drawn dialogue bubbles. I imported my hand drawn font into Procreate to make the letters. It takes some getting used to but I have a nailed down a streamlined process at this point. I'm a big fan of the work flow all staying within the same app. It helps!
For the lettering stage, do you export the procreate file to illustrator or a similar app?
